Singapore is home to a vast variety of creepy crawlies and critters like this huntsman spider, they mostly come out after dark.

I will post up my collections of spider's photos taken in the past few months in the following weeks. This one is our Domestic Huntsman Spider (Heteropoda venatoria), 

Spiders in this family move sideways like crabs (hense they are also called giant crab spiders) with long legs that spread out to about 10cm wide. They normally eat insects, sometime small birds and bats too. It is not venomous but the bite should be painful i guess haha.
